Annual conference packed with networking and educational opportunities designed to help DBE and other small businesses.
Opportunity Fair
Annual event where dozens of buying agencies come specifically to meet with small businesses, discuss current opportunities, and explain how to find work.
Wednesday Webinars
Business skills and knowledge topics delivered in a virtual webinar format by subject matter experts.
Community Partner Roundtable
The NMDOT STAR team meets regularly with representatives from other agencies and organizations that support New Mexico small businesses.
Compliance Classroom
Webinars and workshops designed to help participants understand and navigate the compliance requirements and tools of NMDOT programs.

Periodic webinars and workshops on high profile topics and current events.
Leadership Forum
Launched in June 2021, this forum meets 3 to 4 times per year allowing DBE and small business owners a chance to meet with representatives from the STAR NMDOT program and other NMDOT departments. Provide input, ask questions, get insights on what is coming and help shape the future.

The goal of the DBE program is to make sure there is equal opportunity in the award of US DOT-assisted contracts for highway, transit, and airport projects. The program is intended to provide a “level playing field” on which DBEs can compete fairly. To make certain that only bona fide firms participate, the NMDOT has a comprehensive DBE certification program.
