SANTA FE – The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) District Five office recently awarded 13 local governments with a 95% match in funding.

The funding is for local entity projects, investing $16,322,857 in District Five Transportation Funded Roadway projects. Statewide, the NMDOT awarded $100,435,817 to 71 projects through its Transportation Project Fund (TPF) program.

“The Transportation Project Fund provides a great opportunity for our local counties, cities and tribal governments to receive funding for various transportation related projects. Without this resource, many of these municipalities would not be able to fund these vital infrastructure projects that are important to each of their communities” said Rhonda Lopez, NMDOT District 5 Engineer.
