Full Roadway Access Restored
SANTA FE – The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) is pleased to announce the successful completion of the $3.5 million roadway rehabilitation project on NM 475, also known as Hyde Park Road. The roadway is now fully reopened to the public.
The project began in the fall 2024 but was placed in winter suspension due to temperatures and moisture. The project resumed two weeks ago and wrapped up today.
Work included patching and reinforcing deteriorated sections of the roadway and repaving 7 miles in both northbound and southbound lanes. The final phase, restriping for improved safety and visibility, will be completed early next week.
The contractor, Cutler Repaving, worked six days a week—Monday through Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. to expedite completion and minimize disruption to the community.
NMDOT extends its sincere thanks to all road users for their patience and support throughout the duration of the project.
