Public Information MeetingGrant County Bridges Project (NM FLAP SR35(1))
The community is encouraged to attend the public information meeting.
Grant County near Mimbres, NM – The Federal Highway Administration, Central Federal Lands Highway Division (FHWA-CFLHD), in cooperation with the New Mexico Department of Transportation and the United States Forest Service Gila National Forest, is proposing to implement proposed improvements to three bridges and one box culvert along New Mexico Route 35 (NM 35).
The purpose of the project is to address deteriorated bridges and drainage structures and safety concerns associated with the water crossings along the NM 35 corridor, which provides primary access to the Gila National Forest. The project located in Grant County, near Mimbres, New Mexico. The bridge replacements would require placement of temporary water crossings to keep the road open to traffic.
Meeting Purpose:
At this public meeting, we will review the proposed bridges, expected traffic impacts and detours, and the preliminary construction timeline. We will also answer your questions and address comments.
