Get home safely this Valentine’s Day and Super Bowl Sunday

ALBUQUERQUE – As New Mexicans celebrate Valentine’s Day and Super Bowl events involving alcohol, the New Mexico Department of Transportation and its partners are promoting a program to get people living in the Bernalillo County metro area home safely.

NMDOT, Bernalillo County, the city of Albuquerque, Cumulus radio stations and Uber support the “Take a Ride on Us” program designed to combat drunk driving.

The program offers 1,000 rides for Valentine’s Day and another 1,000 rides for Super Bowl participants using either the Uber code: LOVE22 or SUPER22.

The codes provide two rides per person with a credit up to $15. Both programs begin Friday, Feb. 11 at noon. The Super Bowl credit ends at midnight Sunday, Feb 13. The Valentine’s Day credit runs until midnight Monday, Feb. 14.

The codes are available for download Monday, Feb. 7.

Tips are not included, and refunds are not provided for trips costing less than the $15 credit. The codes are also not valid for use with Uber Eats.

Since Christmas 2018, this public-private partnership has provided more than 26,000 safe rides home to New Mexican’s living in the Albuquerque metro area who choose not to drink and drive.

Working together, we can ENDWI.
