US 180 Silver City Safety Scoping Project
JOIN US! OPEN HOUSE
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will hold an open house to share information about the US 180 Corridor Safety Scoping Project, which includes the segment of US 180 between milepost 111 west of Silver City and milepost 123 in Bayard. The project is examining safety issues affecting motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians within the corridor as well as potential solutions to improve traffic operations and reduce hazards. At the open house, NMDOT will present findings from reviews of current road and intersection conditions, highlighting potential hazards and recommended improvements. Community members and US 180 users from Silver City, Rosedale, Arenas Valley, Santa Clara, and Bayard are invited to provide input, ask questions, and share safety concerns.
