Public Meeting – NM Ignition Interlock Task Force
Primary Purpose
The primary purpose of this meeting is for Ignition Interlock Task Force, jointly formed by the NMDOT and the MVD, to form a plan to study and track whether all drivers with an ignition interlock license maintain motor vehicle insurance in compliance with the requirements of the Mandatory Financial Responsibility Act as pursuant to 2024 House Memorial 30 (HM030).
The NMDOT and MVD invite members of the public to observe the Task Force meeting where information on data availability and trends will be presented and discussed. Staff members from the NMDOT and MVD will be available to respond to questions and comments from the public. A written summary of the meeting will also be made available in English one week after the meeting.
