SANTA FE – The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) District Five office recently awarded seven local governments with a 95% match in funding. The funding is for local entity projects, investing $9,713116.73 in District Five Transportation Funded Roadway projects.

“The Transportation Project Fund provides a great opportunity for our local counties, cities and tribal governments to receive funding for various transportation related projects. Without this resource, many of these municipalities would not be able to fund these vital infrastructure projects that are important to each of their communities” said Rhonda Lopez, NMDOT District 5 Engineer.

  • City of Farmington, San Juan Blvd. = $1,110,000
  • City of Bloomfield, Bergin Lane reconstruction. = $950,000
  • Town of Kirtland, US 64/Road 6100 construction and design. = $880,000.
  • Town of Estancia, Loring Avenue Street. = $500,000.
  • Torrance County, Appaloosa Road improvement and construction. = $604,897.74.
  • Taos County, Blueberry Hill Reconstruction, and repaving. = $3,368,218.99.
  • City of Santa Fe County, Buckman Road reconstruction. = $2,300,000.

NMDOT District Five works with nine tribes, six counties, and 10 municipalities, that includes 10 School Districts.
