Infrastructure investments pave the way for community and economic development
MILAN – The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) District Six office recently awarded five local governments with a 95% match in funding. The funding is for local and tribal entity projects, investing $10,083,225.19 in District Six Transportation Funded Roadway projects
“It is impressive how many projects we are able to collaborate with our local entities and governments to fund through the Transportation Project Fund. These projects will only help improve and expand the development of infrastructure in our District,” stated Lisa Boyd Vega, District Six Engineer.
- Catron County, York Ranch Roadway Improvements – $2,185,000
- Cibola County – Moquino Llano Bridge & Roadway – $1,900,000
- City of Gallup – East Nizhoni Boulevard Reconstruction Phase IV – $1,909,500
- Village of Milan – Stanley Avenue & Bridge Improvements Phase I – $2,850,000
- Sandoval County – Hidden Valley Bridge Replacement – $1,238,725
In total, District Six works with eight counties, 19 municipalities, including four School Districts or Universities, seven tribal governments, the Southwest New Mexico Council of Governments, (SWMCOG) and the Northwest New Mexico Council of Governments (NWNMCOG).
