Regular Meeting To be Held on May 30 in Portales, NM

SANTA FE – The State Transportation Commission will host a Special Meeting on May 23, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) General Office located at

1120 Cerrillos Road, Santa Fe, NM 87505 in the Training Room. The Special Meeting is to discuss the approval of Resolution # 2024-02 Authorizing the New Mexico Finance Authority to Issue Series 2024 Refunding Bonds.

Additionally, the State Transportation Commission meeting originally scheduled for May 16, 2024, in Portales, NM has been rescheduled and will be held on May 30, 2024, at 8:30 a.m. The State Transportation Commission Meeting will still be held at Eastern New Mexico University and hosted by NMDOT District Two. The meeting begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. and will be held in the Campus Union Building (CUB), 1500 S. Avenue K., Portales, New Mexico.

The State Transportation Commission is comprised of six commissioners, each appointed by the governor to represent a NMDOT district. The commission meets six times annually and holds one meeting in each of the six districts. The commission sets department policy and oversees the use of the State Road Fund. As an oversight group, each of the commissioners bring unique private industry experiences providing department managers with insight and expertise for the betterment of New Mexico’s transportation system.

Elected officials and community members are invited to attend. Those who wish to provide public comment must sign up on site before the meeting begins. The meeting will also be live streamed on the New Mexico Department of Transportation YouTube channel and the NMDOT Facebook page.
