I-25 Improved Name a U-turn
New Mexico, we need your creativity!
Advanced U-turns are opening in Albuquerque, and we want YOU to help name it!
As part of the improvements along the I‑25 corridor at Comanche Road and Montgomery Boulevard, we’re adding Advanced U‑Turns to help traffic move more smoothly, reduce delays, and improve safety at the interchanges.
Texas calls theirs “Texas Turnarounds,” but, well… we’re not Texas. And based on the creativity we’ve seen from New Mexicans (shout-out to our snowplow naming contests), we know you can top that.
Submit your best name now through Friday, June 26 at noon!
What we’re looking for:
- Creative, clever, U‑turn-themed, or New Mexico‑inspired names
- One submission per person
- Keep it clean, fun, and nonpartisan
- Politically inspired names or plays on politicians’ names won’t be considered
Scan the QR code or click the link to submit your idea!
NMDOT will review all submissions and choose a winner. The selected name will be used in future announcements about this new roadway feature. Let’s see what New Mexico comes up with!
