Additionally, Westbound I-40 is closed to all traffic at mile marker 89 (Grants). There is No Detour Available, Please Seek Alternative Route. All Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMV) are advised to use NM 6 to access I-25 southbound if they are past Albuquerque.
CMV are advised to use Exit 126 (NM6 to Los Lunas/Belen Interchange) to access I-25 Southbound if past Albuquerque.
New Mexico Department of Transportation is assisting New Mexico State Police for all closures. NMDOT is setting up advance message boards, providing staff to assist with closures, and utilizing our Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) to notify the public.
