DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Public Meeting! \n						\n					\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n					\n					\n						\n						WHEN: Wednesday\, June 17\, 2026 starting at 6:00 PMWHERE: Paula Enyeart Community Building\, Sandoval County Fairgrounds\, 16 Rodeo Road\, Cuba\, NM 87013 \n					\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n					\n					\n						\n						The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) is hosting an in-person public meeting to discuss the US 550 Wildlife Vehicle Collision Mitigation Project: Phases 1 and 2. \nThe project is designed to improve safety for both drivers and wildlife by reducing wildlife-vehicle collisions and improving wildlife movement across the highway northwest of Cuba\, New Mexico. Planned improvements include wildlife crossing structures\, 8-ft tall game fencing\, and other features that help animals safely cross US 550. The overall project is divided into four phases\, with designs for Phases 1 and 2 under development now. \nAt the meeting\, the project team will share the designs in development to receive input.
