SUMMARY:You Are Invited to a Public Meeting on Improvements to US 70 and North Main Street
DESCRIPTION:Purpose of the Meeting\nConstruction on this project to improve 1.048 miles of US 70/North Main Street from Milepost 149.10 (Spitz Ave/N. Solano Dr) to Milepost 150 (Elks Dr/N. Triviz Dr) has been underway since January 30\, 2024. At this meeting\, the construction team will discuss progress to date and upcoming planned traffic impacts. Participants can also ask questions and make comments. \nCurrent Traffic Impacts:\nThe Alameda Arroyo trail crossing is CLOSED. \n\nOne lane of traffic ONLY is open on the east side of US 70 from Elks/N. Triviz to Temple and from north of Samaritan to Spitz/N. Solano.\nIn the area of the Alameda Arroyo Bridge\, there is only one lane of traffic open in each direction (eastbound and westbound) on the west side of the roadway.\nThere are two lanes open on the west side of US 70 from Elks Drive/N. Triviz to south of Temple and from south of the Alameda Arroyo Bridge to Spitz/N. Solano.\n\nThis phase of construction is expected to last through May 2024 and will be followed by two additional phases with the project expected to be completed in October 2024. \nRegular work hours are Monday-Friday 7 a.m.-5 p.m.\, although the contractor may work longer hours if\nneeded.
