DESCRIPTION:NM 554 El Rito Bridge Replacement Project\n						The NMDOT hosted an in-person public meeting on October 2\, 2025\, to discuss the NM 554 El Rito Bridge Replacement Project in El Rito\, Rio Arriba County\, NM. The meeting took place at the El Rito Public Library and included a brief presentation followed by a Q&A session.  \nThe project will replace the aging bridge on NM Highway 554 that crosses El Rito Creek at the northern edge of El Rito.  The existing bridge is in poor condition and will be replaced to enhance safety\, maintain long-term access\, and meet current engineering standards. \nDuring the meeting\, attendees viewed the proposed bridge design\, learned about anticipated traffic and access impacts during construction\, as well as environmental considerations. Community feedback provided during the meeting will inform the ongoing design process. \n					\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n					\n					\n						\n						Public Comment Period\nThe public comment period for this phase of the project closed on November 2\, 2025.
